Days Gone follows the outbreak of a worldwide pandemic that has infected much of the human population, turning them into vicious creatures called Freakers. Players control Deacon St. John, a bounty hunter and ex-biker gang member, as he crosses an unpopulated wilderness in Oregon. As Deacon, players will have to find supplies, fend off human and Freaker threats, and may even risk it all to look for the source of the falling society.

Days Gone 1 is an epic adventure that sends you through a very hostile world. Action, stealth, exploration, and overall resource management take place for players traveling a vast open world and making use of everything they can scour in order to stay alive, whether that be small arms, vehicles, weaponry, equipment, or traps.

Players will move through a variety of environments, starting from dense forests, moving to abandoned highways dynamic weather elements and day-night cycles affecting the gameplay. Central to the experience is the relationship between Deacon and his trusted bike, which at times serves as his transport, at times his lifeline when out in the dangerous wilderness. Care and upgrade of the bike are part of navigation through the rough land and from danger.

As they progress, they will come across a varied set of characters, each with something in their mind in this unforgiving new world. Players will also be in a position of helping others by taking on missions and side quests that are on the map, and the same shall reward much-needed resources or upgrades for Deacon’s equipment or abilities.
